What do I need to do?

• Look for an opportunity in your community. Speak at schools, churches, career fairs, scouting meetings, etc.
  
• Use our presentation tools. PowerPoint presentations and key messages have been developed for three different age groups: elementary, middle school and high school/young adult.
  
• Make your presentations fun and interactive. Young people love hands-on activities, for example; checking a pulse, taking temperature readings, and learning how to measure blood pressure. Ask your health care organization to contribute supplies.
  
• Take a friend along to help. If you are working with a group of six or more young people, take a friend or two to help with the "hands-on" activities. The more nurses the better!
