Biography:
Jennifer Hermann, RN, MS

Jennifer Hermann is the Assistant Director of Human Resources at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center (UCSF Medical Center).

Ms. Hermann has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry working in nursing, healthcare, and human resources administration. Recognized as a promoter and advocate of the health professions, she has presented at multiple conferences, career fairs and commencement ceremonies.

She is responsible for Human Resource operations at UCSF Medical Center and oversees all recruitment and employment functions, compensation, benefits, and HR information systems. Prior to her current position, she was the corporate Employment Manager for UCSF Stanford HealthCare responsible for the professional recruitment for Stanford Hospital and Clinics, Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital, UCSF Medical Center and Mount Zion Hospital. Ms. Hermann also served in various healthcare administrative roles including nursing administration, project management, and workforce redesign at UCSF Medical Center. Her clinical nursing background includes cardio-vascular, transplant, emergency and medical-surgical nursing.

Active in many organizations, she is a founding member of the Coalition for Nursing Careers in California (CNCC), whose focus is to attract individuals into the profession of Nursing. She is also a member of the Association of California Nurse Leaders and the Society for Human Resources Managers. She is presently ACNL Board Member for northern California.

Jennifer Hermann earned her undergraduate degree at Indiana University in nursing and her master’s degree in nursing administration at University of California San Francisco.
